English I Introduction To Kill A Mockingbird
Assume that you have been "ordered" to undertake a task that will entail your trying to help a fellow human being who is less fortunate than yourself and, in addition, completely ostracized by society. You know is advance that you will probably not succeed and that you may be criticized by some of your peers, your family, and your friends. What would your reaction be to this order? What would be your attitude about performing the task? What advantages would there be in engaging in such an experience? What would be the disadvantages?

I would immediately say yes, I would be optimistic, the advantages would be that you would get learn how to not judge somebody based on their rank in society and see how they deal with being ostracized, and a disadvantage would be that nobody would think of you ever the same because of what you were doing.
ReplyDeleteI would accept the challenge and complete it with determination. I would be able to relate to the accused and possibly get the prosecutors to confess the truth. But it would be hard to get an all opposed jury and judge to agree with me.
ReplyDeleteI would probably not be too happy about it because I would get criticized by my peers, family, and friends. I would try and have the best attitude that I could towards it because good things could come out of it. You could make new friends. One disadvantage would be that you are going to be ostracized by society and may not be "accepted".
ReplyDeleteat first i might not want to help the person but would eventually would. an advantage would be that the person your helping might feel better about having someone that will still help. a disadvantage would be that the rest of the community might hate you for helping them.
ReplyDeleteI would be ok with having this task. My attitude would be I have to win this task and perform the best I could. There would be positive and negative advantages the positive would be a win in the task and proving everyone wrong. The disadvantages would be the negative talking that people would do about you and the way people would put you down if you didn't perform good.
ReplyDeleteMy reaction would be yes because i would be willing to help someone.
ReplyDeleteMy attitude about performing the task would be relieved that I helped someone when they needed the help. The advantages about performing the task might be that you make a new friend, and feel good about helping them. A disadvantage would be that you would be excluded from society.
I wouldnt be too happy bout it at first, but i wouldnt mind it after a while. I would try to be positive, but it would be hard beacuse i wouldnt have my peers respect. A advantage is Making me and that person feel better, and it would make me a better person. Disadvantage would be my peers, and family wouldnt be on my side.
ReplyDeleteyes i would help cause you dont know whats going on in there life , disadvantage is people would probably hate you for doing that
ReplyDeleteI would say yes to this challenge, The advantages of this challenge would be that it shows that you dont need to be always be judging someone that doesn't have the same qualities as you. A disadvantage would be nobody would treat you the same way.
ReplyDeleteI would go and do it, I would feel good about myself because I would know that I was doing something good, an advantage would be that if you helped someone and somebody else seen you it could encourage them to do something nice for somebody else, and one disadvantage would be that you could loose some of your friends.
ReplyDeleteI would probably think about what it is that I'm being asked to do, and then do it. My attitude would change the more comfortably I become towards the task. It would overall be a positive experience with the fact that you feel good about yourself when you help someone out. The disadvantages would be the negative reaction from your peers, if they act that way.
ReplyDeletei would help somebody that it is less fortunate than me. i would not care what my family or friends think i think everybody should be treated equal. so i would be glad to help them thats just the way i am and i think everybody should do that if not thats there choice. the disadvantage would be you not knowing the person
